3D-Secure 2.0

Full 3D Secure services – to Issuing and Acquiring Banks (Verified by Visa, Mastercard, Secure Code/Identity Check, Amex SafeKey)

The 3D Secure 2.0 service offered by Romcard involves the use of biometric authentication.

Romcard obtained VISA (VISA Secure) and MasterCard (MasterCard Identity Check) certifications for the 3D-Secure 2.0 version.

Beware of Phishing!

“Phishing” represents a sensitive data stealing tehnique (especially the card number). This consists in the exact reproduction of a website that, although identical to the original,  is a fake.

IMPORTANT! RomCard will never send an email asking you to activate the card in 3D-Secure system. Also, banks will not send emails requiring activation in the 3D-Secure card

DO NOT FOLLOW UPON ANY REQUEST RECEIVED BY E-MAIL, TO ACTIVATE YOUR CARD. TO ACTIVATE USE ONLY THE ROMCARD WEBSITE OR THE ISSUING BANK WEBSITE

In the event of activation of your 3D-Secure card is required to check the following:

• Browser address bar to start exactly with: https://www.secure2gw.ro/
• The status bar at the bottom of the browser to be displayed and display the yellow lock (that looks like the page is secure
• The navigator should not display a security error
• The address on which the security certificate was issued should be the one above
• Double click on the lock. Check for the following text on the security certificate:
  – Issued to: secure2gw.ro, secure5gw.ro       or
  – Issued to: www.activare3dsecure.ro
