ROMCARD Company was set up for the specific purpose of approaching the card-processing issue within a common framework of procedures and rules, compatible with the international standards in the field, which were intended for facilitating the creation of card-processing systems consistent with, and integrated into, a coherent, unitary, and flexible national system.
We are using the WAY4 software provided by OpenWay Systems Ltd. - Belgium.
Databases are designed using ORACLE 10g Database Administration System and Windows 2008 platform.
The interest in this vital feature of the company's activity has continued to develop permanently and nowadays there are more then ten thousand dealers who accept cards as payment instruments.
The certifications effected by ROMCARD with most important card international organizations as Visa International, MasterCard, AMEX, DINERS and JCB, have covered nearly all the range of services and activities specific to the field a processing centre is capable of rendering.
Connected to the networks of these card associations, the system is able to authorize international cards - both those issued in the Romania and used in any foreign country and those issued in a foreign country and used in the Romania.
In parallel with the current processing activity, a rich activity was conducted for adapting, updating, improving and developing the software components available at ROMCARD and for upgrading the hardware equipment, with the view of meeting all the particular requirements concerning the linking, processing, and informing required by the banks, as well as for the purpose of diversifying the range of services offered by ROMCARD. |
